Hooplytix is basketball analytics software for coaches and clubs. A box score counts what the rules count. Hooplytix counts what you decided counts - from a run in the park to a professional season.

The box score rewards scoring. The coach is watching the habits that fit how the team is meant to play. Without a shared number, the conversation stays opinion against points, and a player can treat it as taste.

You work by team, season and competition. Set the roster and the custom events, log the game, and bring in teammates and observers so they can follow the same results, stats and analytics.

You decide what counts
Write the events your basketball actually runs on - an extra pass, a contested closeout, a blown rotation - and give each one a weight. Positive rewards it, negative penalises it. You do this before tip-off.
The default tags stay locked and keep filling the box score. Yours sit in the same log and feed the Index.

The Hooplytix Index is your tags multiplied by your weights, added up. Nothing else moves it. Every event also sits beside the total as its own count, so you can see exactly where the number came from.
How the Index is built
Tag nothing and the Index stays empty. It only exists where you logged your own standard.
Players, fives and the team on one scale
The same total for a player, for the exact five on the floor, and for the team - sitting next to the full box score and the advanced rates, not instead of them.
So you can ask who produces your basketball, which five produces it, and whether the team as a whole is - on one game, or as a season total and a per-game average.
