Built by a coach, for coaches

Hooplytix started on a bench, not in an office.

The idea came from a basketball coach and analyst working inside a club with senior teams in a national first division. He spent a season logging games and breaking down numbers for the staff, and kept running into the same wall. The box score recorded what the rules record. It recorded nothing of what the staff actually asked the players to do.

He wanted to track his own events. The extra pass. The closeout. The defensive rotation that never shows up anywhere. So that is what we built.

Hooplytix is made for a coach, his teams and his players. The coach defines the events and sets what each one is worth, then brings in teammates and observers to follow the same results. One number per player, per five and per team - the standard the squad agreed on, written by their own coach, not one we invented.

The analyst behind the product is a graduate of the EuroLeague Head Coaches Board Academy and completed a three-month analyst programme under the analytics coordinator of a EuroLeague club. He decides what the platform measures.

Built and run by a small team in Belgrade.
